“Serving as a Project Lead for the Buyside Team taught me how to better manage a team and has allowed me to further develop both my technical and interpersonal skills. I learned how to delegate tasks, present to executives in a professional environment, network with industry professionals, and connect with individuals in the same industry for career development guidance. When I began working on projects with SIBC my freshman year, I was exposed to upperclassmen who soon became role models to me. It was because of a positive role model leading one of my past projects that caused me to eventually become a project lead myself. Now, as a soon to be graduating senior, I’ve gained much more clarity on my future career aspirations due to the hands-on nature of the projects and real world experience they provide.
